Trader Joe’s to Open Pembroke Pines Store

To be quite honest, I had no clue on what a Trader Joe’s was. I became familiar with Trader Joe’s from the folks that I follow on social media. For months I would see people posting about the items that they could only get from Trader Joe’s like the cookie butter, which sounds so yummy.
Then this year Trader Joes finally came to South Florida and set up shop in Miami. I still havent visited the store yet because its a little far from where I live. I was one of the many residents of Broward County who said “When are we gonna get a Trader Joe’s?”
News broke today that Trader Joe’s will be setting up shop in the heart of Pembroke Pines, FL in 2014. According to Channel 10 news, Mayor of Pembroke Pines, Frank Ortis announced the deal during a city chamber meeting Monday night.  Trader Joe’s will be located in the Pembroke Crossings Plaza on the south east corner of Flamingo Road and Pines Boulevard, where Just For Feet and World Market used to be residents at. Just a hop and a skip for me!
Trader Joe’s doesnt market themselves as a health food store but their inexpensive products do not contain artificial flavoring, coloring or preservatives.
Trader Joe’s joins the circle of grocery chains in that area like Publix, Walmart, Whole Foods, Target, The Fresh Market and Aldi’s.
