Kickoff “National Family Month” at The National Black Chamber of Commerce Conference in Hollywood, FL

The National Black Chamber of Commerce(NBCC) hosts it 23rd Annual Conference in Hollywood, Florida August 5-8 at the Hilton Diplomat Resort & Spa.  The theme “The Family Business” encompasses the unity of entrepreneurs and celebrates their legacies. NBCC Co-founder Kay DeBow remarks “This is the most comprehensive and informative business conference in the nation.”

Charles Payne of Fox Business Network introduces us to several families and explores their extraordinary businesses.
NBCC’s “The Family Business” tackles the importance of education and keeping Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Career Colleges viable; dealing with “Family Secrets” where we explore overcriminalization and getting ex-offenders back on track, procurement roundtable, capital access, Census data as marketing tools and international trade all of which support the strengthening of our entrepreneurial family.




Pass The Torch Young Entrepreneurs Business Pitch Competition is the breakout session that has created a buzz among emerging entrepreneurs.  Celebrity judges include actor, activist, and entrepreneurLamman Rucker, V.P and Co-founder of FUBU and CEO of FUBU-TV J. Alexander Martin and SlipNSlide Records CEO Ted Lucas.
The Honorable Judge Glenda Hatchet, founding partner of the Hatchet Firm will host the Women’s Afternoon Tea with Dr. Roslyn Artis President of Florida Memorial University and actress, photographer, producer Chenoa Maxwell discuss issues related to the female entrepreneur. Harry C. Alford, NBCC President/CEO, states “we are excited about the quality of our speakers and the leadership we are displaying.”
NBCC Fashion House presents “Fashion Means Business” Charity Celebrity Runway Show hosted by actress Brely Evans.
