Help The Miami Dolphins Special Teams Honor Our Troops on 9/11

WHAT: In celebration of National Day of Service and in honor of the 10th Anniversary of September 11, the Miami Dolphins Special Teams will be packing care packages to send to troops who are stationed overseas. Troops have posted their requests on AnySoldier.com and the special teams members have complied of list of supplies needed to fulfill requests.

Actually packing of the care packages will take place on Sunday, September 11 at Sun Life Stadium. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to participate in this event and can visit www.dolphins.com/specialteams for more information.

WHO: About Miami Dolphins Special Teams Program
In 2009, South Florida ranked dead last in the nation in percentage of volunteers and volunteer hours per. To combat this problem, the organization created the special teams program, a volunteer group that offers hands-on services to communities and families in need, to partner with existing organizations on worthwhile social, civic and charitable programs and to support community efforts in times of emergency. To date, the program has 3,204 volunteers that have logged 53,917 of community service, making them the most impactful group of its kind.
